Good, better, best on one quote, signed on their phone.
Good-better-best quoting works because people like to choose. With DeskSentry you put two or three options on one quote, mark the one you'd recommend and send the customer a private link. They read your note, look at each option, pick one and sign for it on their phone. The option they signed is the only one that becomes the job and the invoice.
Building the quote
- Options on one quote. Give each one a name and a short summary in your own words, like "Keeps you running" or "Best efficiency, longest warranty." Copy an option to start the next one instead of retyping the lines.
- Mark the one you recommend. It's labeled on the customer's page.
- A note to the customer at the top, the way you'd explain it at the kitchen table.
- Your price book fills in the lines, and your own screen shows your cost and margin. The customer never sees those.
- Templates. Save a quote you like as a template and start the next one from it: the options, the labels, the recommended mark and the lines.
What the customer sees
A private link opens a page that leads with your note and the options side by side, with the details one tap away. You choose, per customer, whether each option is itemized or shown as one bundled price. They pick an option and sign on the phone, and the signature is kept with the quote.
On replacement equipment, the quote can also carry a rebate block, so the customer knows up front whether a rebate applies and who files it.
After they say yes
- The accepted quote moves to Accepted, schedule and bill, so won work doesn't sit in a pile.
- Billing the job picks up only the option they chose, never all three added together, and it can't be billed twice.
- If they say yes in person or over the phone instead, you record how they said it and who took it, and the quote shows that too.
- When the box emails the quote, it tells you whether it arrived or bounced, so "I never got it" doesn't cost you the job.
What it doesn't do
- A photo per option isn't in yet.
- It doesn't handle financing applications.
- It doesn't send anything by itself. You press send.
Straight answers
Can a customer choose between options on one quote?
Yes. You put two or three options on one quote and mark the one you recommend. The customer opens a private link, picks an option and signs for it on their phone.
What happens to the options they didn't pick?
Nothing. Only the signed option becomes the job and the invoice; the options are never added together.
Can I reuse a quote layout?
Yes. Save any quote as a template and start new quotes from it with the same options, labels, recommended mark and lines.
